They are responsible for overseeing key revenue streams including membership and professional learning, managing budget targets, and ensuring optimal experience for members, clients and efficient resource utilisation. The role is also entrusted with fostering meaningful relationships with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Strategic leadership: Drive the organisational vision and operational strategy. Operational oversight: Manage daily operations to ensure smooth workflow, efficiency, and optimal resource utilisation. Financial management: Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and growth. Continuous improvement: Seek ways to improve processes, products, or services to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Team leadership: Recruit, lead, train, and evaluate staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment. Stakeholder engagement: Foster relationships with partners, customers and other stakeholders, representing the organisation's interests. Business development: Identify growth opportunities and drive sales for our membership and professional development offerings in conjunction with the marketing manager. Compliance and governance: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and organisational standards and policies. Performance analysis: Monitor organisational performance against goals, making adjustments as needed to achieve them. Risk management: Identify potential risks and ensure adequate measures are in place to mitigate them. What does success look like?  Contribute integrally to CELA, its members, and the broader sector by proactively seeking impactful operational methods, anticipating emerging issues, and responding actively. Foster a member-centric approach across the entire organisation, partnering effectively in their early education service. Your keen attention to detail, ability to think laterally, and problem-solving skills make you a cornerstone for the CELA team. In the CEO's absence, you may assume the role of primary decision-maker. About you  Qualified candidates will have a deep understanding of non-profit dynamics, financial management acumen, and a passion for the early education and care sector. This role demands excellent communication, a proven leadership track record, and an unwavering commitment to our organisation's values and objectives. Key requirements: High-level attention to detail and accuracy, innovative and courageous Demonstrated experience in managing teams in a fast-moving environment Experience in managing the implementation of strategic objectives and large budgets Demonstrated high-level experience and achievement in project management and acquittals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including highly developed written communication skills. Strong ability to effectively advise, consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders. In return, we offer a competitive salary package ($130-$140K as a guide, plus superannuation), the capacity to work from home on occasion and high levels of work-life balance, plus the ability to work with an exceptional team of dedicated professionals.Sound like you?
