Working as part of an established Infrastructure Design team, you’ll be responsible for producing and guiding the delivery of engineering designs for road, drainage and other civil works for major land development, public infrastructure upgrades and community facilities. In addition to producing your own designs, you will also have the opportunity to take on a Lead Design role and/or Project Leader role as required. Other duties may include:Preparing and/or guiding the preparation of civil engineering designs including:Road design including vertical and horizontal alignmentDrainage designIntersection and road upgrade designsRoundabout designPavement designProperty adjustment designCarpark designShared pathway and cycleway designPreparing and/or guiding the preparation of engineering design outputs including documentation and drawings, design reports and bills of quantitiesLiaising with stakeholders such as clients, council and other agencies.Working collaboratively across the Company’s design groups as well as other disciplines.About youTo be successful in this role, you’ll need:Tertiary qualifications as a Civil EngineerExtensive all-round civil engineering design experience and skills including road geometry and pavement design, utility services requirements, bulk earthworks design, drainage, etcA strong working knowledge of statutory and other requirements, including Austroads’ standards and TfNSW supplements to Austroads’ standardsThe ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsHigh proficiency in relevant software, such as 12D, MX Roads/OpenRoads.Proficiency in CAD software: AutoCAD, BricsCAD or similar and in MS Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.In return, we offer a highly rewarding role in a company with a wide range of projects, but with a personal and team-based approach.
