Reporting to the volunteer Board, the CEO's role is comprehensive, encompassing strategic leadership, governance, and operational excellence. It includes collaborating with the Board to develop and execute the organisation's Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan, effectively managing risks, and engaging with external stakeholders, such as state and federal government departments, strategic partners, local employers and peak bodies. Developing and nurturing positive relationships and alliances is critical to success.Additional responsibilities will include:Providing strategic, financial and organisational leadership for a team of around 50 employees across 3 key programs of workLeading the development and submission of compelling responses to government tendersEnsuring all service contract requirements and obligations are met or exceeded, and that SIP is well-positioned to maintain/win contracts and tendersWorking with the Board to fulfil SIP’s regulatory, governance and legal obligationsRepresenting and advocating on behalf of SIP at local, regional and national levelsLeading and motivating a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaborationContinuously evolving and expanding our programs and initiatives, ensuring they remain relevant and effective in a changing landscape. About you:Our successful candidate will embody a unique blend of visionary leadership and pragmatic acumen. You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive growth and innovation. You are a partnership builder with a track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in education, business, and government.Inspirational leadership is paramount, as you will lead a diverse team in driving innovation and program development. Strong advocacy and communication skills are essential, enabling you to represent the organisation effectively at all levels.
