This voluntary role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in early childhood, families, social policy, finance, or change management to contribute to the organisation's strategic direction and future growth.We are seeking a Director who has a strong connection with / exposure to the early childhood sector, who also has a sound working knowledge of and experience working with First Nations people and remote communities. You’ll have a sound understanding of best practice corporate governance within the NFP space, the capacity to work collaboratively with other Board members, and a demonstrated commitment to the strategic vision and values of Playgroup Australia. An AICD qualification would be highly regarded.The term for this position is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension for an additional 12 months. Candidates will need to engage with the NT board from time to time, as negotiated with the NT board. Playgroup Australia Board meetings are generally held online monthly, with one or two face-to-face meetings per year.
